Springfield Township Library Turns 50!
Visit the library for celebrations all through September.
Can you believe it? Our library is officially turning 50 this September, and we are celebrating all month long! We have a wonderful trip down memory lane waiting for you, plus an interactive community project that we want everyone to be a part of.
Take a walk around the library to see rare photos and unique memorabilia from the last five decades:
- Check the windowsills and the tops of the CD bookshelves near the reference desk.
- Look for the large display table across from circulation featuring a massive anniversary sign and even more historical keepsakes.
We are hanging a massive community pennant banner along our windows, and we need your help to fill it up! Whether you are a lifelong patron or brand new to the library, your story is part of our history. Head over to the puzzle table or drop into the Storytime Room anytime during September. Grab the provided supplies, design your own personalized pennant, and add it to the display. As more patrons finish their pennants, the banner will grow and stretch across the library windows!
