Register for 2026 Kids Summer Reading here. Registration opens May 11. Register before June 1 and you are eligible to come in for a free book! Begin logging your reading minutes on June 1. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 are challenged to read for 800 minutes between June 1 and July 31. Younger children will have fun completing a literacy activities game board. Logs for kids age 5 and under are here and for kids in grades K-5 are here. Complete the challenge by July 31 to earn a book! Reading minutes can also be earned by attending any of our summer events or reading groups. Meet a real paleontologist! Create a stop-motion video! Enjoy a character creation workshop! And more!
